OpenSTEM
CORE SC provided funding for the creation of a portable contained AgTech experiment unit. Housed at the College of Charleston, the OpenSTEM case provides:
Students get hands-on R & D with companies
Opportunity to interface with NASA Space Crop Research Interdisciplinary research (Biology, CompSci, Engineering, etc)
Opensource project collaboration across multiple campuses
Alternative funding source for student research
Cutting-edge technology (sensors, cameras, and models)
Units are on display in high traffic parts of campus
